2010 Scene from Japan

This is my most recent commissioned piece that I made for Amy Buckner and her husband. I was glad with the outcome for this task because we both decided and agreed on the image specs from size to color tone. But most importantly, they enjoyed the piece as I delivered it to their home. Im always flattered to know that people will enjoy something Ive made for them and becomes a part of their lives.

Sketches from All for Love 2008

Some Images from 2008

These images came from some polaroids that I found and purchased from my guys at "the Apartment" store in the mission who have some great collection of pictures that have ended up on my canvases. The polaroid quality just has that saturated image that have bled through the paper during the developing process. Especially when its funky and groovy like these images are; it can be inspiring to paint them.

All for Love sketches from 2008

These are just samples of many images I sketched out to be auctioned off to raise funds for our adoption process back in 2008. Geez it seems like such a long time ago already now that we've had our little one for over a year now.....

Pool party group shot 2009

If these people only knew that this image would end up in my hands. At least they seem to be having a blast.

Japanese Diptych

I made this painting for a Japanese restaurant in Noe Valley in SF called Deep Sushi on Church and 28th(?)....It depicts servants carrying a lady of royalty or high respect I presume in a small town outside of Tokyo during the late 19th to early 20th century. I just liked the layout and composition of this painting.
